Blocktrix is a free game and website created by StrikeLight, with optional paid cosmetic add-ons. By downloading the game, using this website, submitting a server, or buying an add-on, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

1. The game & site are provided “as is”

Blocktrix and this website are provided free of charge, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that they are error-free or secure. You use them at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damages arising from their use, including data loss or damage to your device. Nothing here limits rights you can't waive under applicable consumer law.

2. Acceptable use

Don't use Blocktrix or its servers to harass others, distribute malware, attempt to disrupt or overload servers, or break any applicable law. Online play involves third-party servers we don't control; you're responsible for your own conduct, and server operators set their own rules.

3. Purchases, subscriptions & payments

You never pay for the game. Blocktrix — every level, mode, server, and gameplay feature — is and stays free. The only things you can ever buy are optional cosmetic add-ons (decorative themes, visual effects, and the Blocktrix Plus cosmetics tier). They change how the game looks, never how it plays, and give no competitive advantage. A purchase is not a purchase of the game or a licence to the game itself.

Optional add-ons come in two forms: one-time cosmetic packs, and the Blocktrix Plus subscription (billed monthly or yearly).

Merchant of record. Payments are processed by Fungies (fungies.io), which acts as our merchant of record. Fungies — not StrikeLight — is the seller for your transaction: it collects payment, charges any applicable taxes, and issues your receipt, under Fungies' own terms and privacy policy. We never receive or store your full card details.
Digital delivery. Add-ons are delivered as a licence you activate inside the game (a redemption code, or the email and order number from your receipt). Because they are digital and delivered immediately, they are non-returnable once activated, except where a refund is required by law or granted by Fungies.
Subscriptions. Blocktrix Plus renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime via Fungies (using the customer portal / details on your receipt); your cosmetics stay active until the end of the period you've paid for, then lock. If you cancel or stop paying, only cosmetic content is affected — the game itself keeps working, free, forever.
Prices. Prices are shown at checkout (in CAD) and may change with notice; taxes may apply depending on your location.
Refunds & chargebacks. Refunds are handled by Fungies under their policy. A refunded or charged-back purchase revokes the associated cosmetic entitlement.
Licence. A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that cosmetic content within Blocktrix. Don't resell, share, or redistribute purchase codes or unlocked assets.

4. Server submissions

The server browser lets anyone submit a public game server. By submitting one you confirm you're allowed to list it. Submitted addresses are probed for status and stored along with the submitting IP address (used only to limit spam). Listings that stop responding are removed automatically. We may remove or refuse any listing at our discretion.

5. Privacy

This site doesn't use advertising or third-party analytics, and the game doesn't require an account. The game stores your preferences (and any add-on activation token) locally on your own device. Beyond that, the website may process:

Server submissions — the submitted address and your IP address, used only for rate-limiting; discarded when the listing is removed.
Bug reports — what you type, plus your IP address for anti-spam and rate-limiting.
Downloads — an anonymous per-platform download counter and a short-lived record of your IP address for bandwidth rate-limiting, automatically pruned.
Contact form — your name, email and message are emailed to our support inbox so we can reply; anti-spam checks may briefly process your IP address.
Purchases — handled by Fungies (see §3). To activate a subscription in the game you enter the email and order number from your receipt; we match those against the purchase and store the order reference and subscriber email so your subscription stays active. Card data is handled by Fungies and its payment processor, never by us.
Leaderboards — if you play on our game servers, the nickname you choose and your scores may appear on public standings (for example the #AllAround leaderboard). Choose a nickname with that in mind.

Cookies. The site uses a single strictly-necessary session cookie to run the captcha and anti-spam checks on the bug, download and contact forms. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Third parties. In normal use, limited technical data (such as your IP address) reaches: Fungies and its payment processor (to take payments), flagcdn.com plus a public IP-geolocation lookup (to show server country flags), and Google Fonts (page typography). Each only receives what's needed to serve its part.

6. Age

Blocktrix isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you're under the age of majority where you live, please get a parent or guardian's permission before making any purchase.

7. Trademarks

Blocktrix is an independent work and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any other game, company, or rights holder. References to “TetriNET” and “TetriFast” describe network-protocol compatibility only and imply no affiliation. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

8. Copyright

Blocktrix, its source, artwork, and original assets are © 2000–2026 StrikeLight, except where third-party assets are used under their own licenses. You may download and play the game for personal, non-commercial use. Don't redistribute modified builds as official, or sell the game or its assets, without permission.

9. Governing law

To the extent permitted, these terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

10. Changes

These terms may change over time; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
